Y’all. I. AM. SO. EXCITED!!!!!!!! Giddy, really. And I can’t wait for you to see the finished product! {Don’t you dare scroll straight to the bottom!!}
If you read my post last night you found out about one of our weekend projects.
The traditional black patio set that was lost among the oak tree.
Last night I looked on Pinterest (where all creative ideas come from, right?!), perused my HGTV magazine and talked to Andrew about colors and inspiration.
This morning, just before we packed up for Lowe’s it hit me. It was under (er, above…) my nose the whole time!
My inspiration for the colors I would use!
A few Fridays ago, I purchased this fantastically colored umbrella for our new patio set. And it was all the colors I wanted! So I snapped a quick picture and off to Lowe’s we went.
I hoped and prayed I would find the colors in this fabulous print and I think we got pretty close.
I walked out with Island Orange, Plumberry and Tropical Foliage. And I don’t know about you, but it certainly put me in the mood to go to the beach! But there was work to be done.
It didn’t take much time or paint before we were looking at a beautiful new set of chairs, love-seat and coffee table!
The chairs took 3 cans of paint total, the table just under 1 and the love-seat was a solid 2 cans.
While everything was drying and after Reynolds woke up from his nap, little man and I headed to our treasured World Market. Same place I’d purchased the umbrella, and I was praying that there were pillows to match. That would tie in the patio set to this “new” set under the oak tree.
A few pillows….some potted Begonias
A couple of turquoise tumblers and a trio of lanterns (all from the World Market).
Here’s the reveal!
I love it! I think it turned out beautifully and not too wild on the color-side!
I would love to hear how you refreshed some outdoor furniture – leave a comment below!
Tomorrow look for how we created our stump table. Remember, it was the honey do project that “honey” found out about when he read last night’s blog!
