Blog-tember Challenge: Day 7
Today’s topic is to tell y’all where my blog name came from.
Well I’ve read several other bloggers’ posts about how much time they spent on their blog name. Researching meanings, combing the thesaurus, etc.
I did not spend that much time on Camellias and Copper.
Literally, it was a Saturday evening and I looked at Andrew, after I’d made up my mind that I was going to start a blog, and I said to him, “What should our blog name be?”
To which he quickly said, “Whoa, Whoa, now. This isn’t OUR blog…this is YOUR blog.” We both laughed.
We talked for a little while about what I would spend my time blogging about. What are some of the things I enjoy doing? Would I blog about our kid(s), work, cooking, etc.
After thinking that the blog would really be a hodgepodge of it all…I focused in on what I really enjoy doing. Things I really enjoy are gardening and home projects.
My grandfather {mom’s dad} had a camellia garden on his property {along with a catfish pond!} so the Camellia part was easy…it’s a salute to him.
And then somehow we came up with copper part – a nod to the home projects.
Camellias and Copper…there you have it. Not much to it really 🙂
