Artwork – Lindsay Letters {A Few Updates}
A couple of weeks ago I literally stumbled upon this great gal named Lindsay and her shop. {She also has a blog, and it’s become one of my new daily reads!}. I honestly cannot remember how I found her, but I’m so glad I did!
While I played around on her site, looking at different things I could purchase, I decided right then and there that I would get something to add to our gallery wall. Remember that post – where I’d mentioned I was still looking for a few unique pieces? Well, this was certainly going to be one of them.
I decided on a 5×7 of the “Wild Thing” print – it was only $10! Then I thought, at 10 bucks, I can’t just get ONE, I need something else. (This is where that budget thing always gets me in trouble!!) So I found another print {they were only $10!} of “The Greatest is Love”. The last print I purchased is the “O Holy Night” that I’m super excited about for Christmas. I’ve got a fun idea of how to display it on our mantle, just need to do some more research to find the frame I want.
So I purchased my prints and eagerly expected their arrival. They showed up this last Friday and in great anticipation, I opened my brown Special Delivery envelope….
The prints are just beautiful. I love the pearl paper and gold lettering – it’s exactly what you see on her website!
I was so excited about them that I wanted to do whatever I could to get the two (not the Christmas one) up ASAP. Thankfully, after Church on Sunday I received a text from Michael’s. Not only were they having a huge 70% off sale, but from 3-7 they were doing an extra 20% off! Score!
Reynolds and I went on a field trip after his nap and racked up on some frames and a few mantle pieces.
Here’s the update on the Gallery Wall -> the Wild Thing print went top and center above the photo from R’s newborn session – I think it captures everything we’re about – Love.
Next, since the mantle hadn’t been updated since May {the same patriotic theme from Memorial Day ->July 4th} I had jotted down a few things I wanted to purchase to spruce it up for the remainder of the Summer. Then, I found the perfect frame for my The Greatest is Love print.
And now we have a new, fun Summer mantle!
Have you purchased any new art recently? If so, what did you get? Please share!
