C&C at Home :: 5 Ways to Use the Color of the Year in Your Home
Every year Pantone releases a “color of the year” and this year’s hue does not lack in intensity. Dubbed ‘Very Peri’, the color of the year is a “brilliant blue with violet red undertones” and will leave you wondering how to use it in your home.😊 I’m here to help!
Use #1 :: An Accent Wall
Due to the stunning chroma of Very Peri, most people wouldn’t want to paint an entire room in this color. If you’re a daring individual, of which I am not, go right ahead – it would certainly be a gorgeous space! A more practical use for the shade is a beautiful accent wall in a main room, bedroom, office, playroom, you name it!
Use #2 :: The Front Door
Y’all know I love a splash of color on the front door. There’s no better cheerful way to greet your guests than for the front door to be a lovely shade of happy! Does this door remind you of a famous door from tv? Very Peri is very similar to the color used in Friends!
Use #3 :: The Ceiling
Who says all ceilings should be white? Not me! It would be really fun, and definitely a conversation starter to paint the ceiling of a porch, powder room, or smaller space in this lively color.
For the next two uses I’ve specifically created a Pinterest board to include many ideas to get your creative juices flowing.
Use #4 :: Decor
Everything from pillows, to a throw, a chair or two…the options for adding in pops of this stain are truly endless. If you’re more bold with color, go with a piece of furniture; more timid, stick to accenting with candles, a small pillow, or even Hyacinths – real or faux.
Use #5 :: A Large Painting
What better way to use Very Peri than in a gorgeous painting? Whether monochromatic, ombre, or mixing with other colors of the rainbow, again, the options are limitless.
I hope your imagination has been stirred – I’d love to know how you plan to use this color in your home!
