Easter Baskets…
This is the second year that I have been utterly perplexed with Easter Baskets.
As a child I remember mine being filled with chocolate treats and a few other small things…but mostly the chocolate.
As a mom of two littles I’ve been trying to figure out what to put in Reynolds and Eliza Jane’s baskets. I can’t sensibly fill them with sweets that I, inevitably, will be tempted to eat…
So the last few days I’ve been on a bit of a mission…to find a few small/inexpensive things to put in their baskets, in addition to a few little bits of sweets.
I started at Hobby Lobby yesterday {everything I got was 40% off!} and found two really cool and enormous! bubble wands!! That, upon seeing them, Andrew said, “I am going to have a LOT of FUN with those!”
And then, I remember on occasion, getting shared gifts with my brother, so I also picked up this really cool ring toss set for um, the kids.
Then today I perused World Market {all Easter fillers, toys and books are on sale!} and honestly, this is where I found most of the goodies our kiddos will get Easter morning!
First, musical instruments: a tambourine and a harmonica! along with some Spider-Man big boys’ underwear for R.
Second, something called a wizzle – “a kazoo like thingy” that I actually had a lot of fun playing with! Both kids are getting one of these because I knew there would be a fight…
Third, twisty glitter bracelets and a glitter wand for Eliza Jane
Fourth, this really cool Picture Puzzle Book. “Can you spot the donkey?” how about “Who has the longest scarf?”
And that’s about it! There’s one more book that I’m going to share with y’all tomorrow night… Other than that there will be a few mini-M&M and Reese’s treats.
I’m curious, what are you adding to your kids’ baskets this year?
If you still need some ideas, I found this cute blog today, sharing “50 Out of the Box Easter Basket Fillers”
