Our Art Gallery!
I’m so excited to share with you all that I have started our little art gallery going up the staircase!!
Remember a few weeks ago when I posted about all the artwork we get from daycare? Well, after sifting through it all, I decided that I mostly wanted to keep things that were finger painted and/or included hand- or foot-prints. {At least for now!}
Last week, when I made my run to Michael’s and got the sweet little white shadow box for Lily’s clay paw, I also purchased some poster frames. They were all BOGO! And a girl on a budget needs a BOGO!
They weren’t my first choice of frame, but I knew they would suit the purpose and I think once you see them, you’ll agree that they look pretty good.
As a reminder, this is the inspiration – taken from Pinterest {and I decided I need a much brighter hallway light than what we currently have!!}:
I also decided to use black frames instead of white, since we have a gallery wall at the top of the stairs, and wanted to have a cohesive theme with the black. {See below for an updated pic of the gallery wall – we DO have a family photo that includes ELIZA JANE!!}
Remember, I have JUST started this art gallery wall and I have many more years of finger paintings, hand-prints and foot-prints to go…but here we are with a few of my favorites!! Reynolds is so proud when he sees those that are his!! Makes my little southern heart melt!!
Here’s the updated gallery wall at the top of the stairs…I’m still searching for a few things to make it totally complete. BUT, we did add Eliza Jane’s silhouette and a neat little birthday date DIY piece.
