  • While Mommy Is Away…

Daddy will play… I was away for the night Tuesday night and while I was gone, my dishwasher disappeared. Not like someone came into our home and stole it (who does that anyway?!), but Daddy removed it…and didn’t replace it.  Well, not yet, at least. I think it was three weeks ago that we purchased…

  • How Am I Doing?

I’ve had the amazing privilege this week to complete most of my employee reviews.  To give folks the opportunity to hear what their peers and I think about their performance and how they’re doing.  First I must say that they were easy…and that’s pretty major considering I have seven reporting directly to me.  Seven people who are…

    A Piece of My Heart

It has been a full month since the last time I posted or even sat down to write. My whole world, and my family’s world turned upside down and sideways on September 21st. That afternoon I got a call from my Dad, in Niagra Falls, stating Mom had had a heart attack while they were…

    1. Hi Kayty! I am pretty sure this used to be my way of relieving stress…haha! Gone are the days of puffy eyes and snotty noses though! 🙂

  2. You are not alone in this feeling. I definitely let my kid cry sometimes because there is no use in both of us getting worked up and upset. You offer some really important tips here.

  3. Ha I enjoy posts like these. Walking away for a time has also been helpful for me during heated discussions. It gives me time to reflect and see where I may have gone wrong, and so I can avoid dropping harsh words on the other person. I admit that prayer isn’t always my first response but ain’t it the best. I also do yoga to unwind physically and/or just take a nap 🙂

    1. Patricia, I’m with you on that taking a nap thing! I think yoga is also a really great idea, especially if I’m the one that’s heated up! Thanks for your comment!
