  1. This was a tradition for me when I was a girl also, except our flower was a rose and not an orchid. A lady in my hometown church had a beautiful rose garden and she stood at the front door of the church and handed out red or white roses (along with straight pins) to all the girls and Moms. I haven’t thought about this in years – thank you for this sweet memory. Love you!

  2. Michelle, Buying my mom a mother’s day corsage was always a joy growing up. I know I messed up the coloring significance (mist of the tome!) but mom always acted pleased. Hopefully I can reinstate this tradition. Thanks for sharing!
