Blog-tember Challenge: Day 11
It’s FRIDAY!!!!! or FRI-YAY!!!!!
I really love that today’s Blog-tember challenge is to sort of imagine that it’s Friday night and I decide to stay in. What do I/we do?
Y’all. In the real life that I’m living, this is EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!!
We literally stay home almost every Friday night…so I don’t really have to think too hard on this blog post!
I’m married. My hubs and I work full time outside of our home. AND WE HAVE 2 KIDS!!!! {under 2.5 yrs old!!}.
There are no cocktail hours.
No quiet dinners for 2.
No movie date nights.
No dancing until the wee hours of the morning!
I’ve posted about this before…do you recall? We almost ALWAYS stay in on Friday night!!! But there is the occasional trip to the zoo or other fun thing that we may plan for…
On Friday nights, our kids usually go to bed a little bit earlier/easier.
What do we do? We pour ourselves a drink – him an old-fashioned or other “manly” cocktail. Me, a mimosa or glass of wine. We plop down on the couch or in our comfy chairs – depends on if we want to cuddle or not {ha!}. Usually a magazine or two is read, while Andrew flips the channels for some intriguing entertainment…brain-teasers anyone? Or perhaps, “Shark Tank”?
Sounds fabulous, doesn’t it?! Anyone else living this same dream? Really though, we do love it. It’s nice to be able to relax after a long work week, and get ready for the fun of the weekend as a family!
What would you do on a Friday night where you to stay at home? Or are you like us, and that’s the norm?
Happy weekend friends! Go do something fun!
Hey girl! I’m all about staying it… home body right here– and there’s nothing wrong with that! 😉
Hey Jessica! I am a home body too, although, I’m not as much since marrying my husband! I hope you had a great Friday night {and weekend!}!
That actually sounds like the perfect Friday night to me. I really like to stay in (and so does my fiance so I think that’ll work out for us once we are married!). Staying in is just so much more relaxing than going out & that’s what I need when the week is over!
Hi Anna! I’m so glad to know that I’m in good company! If only we could have a group stay-at-home party! What fun I think we would have!
That sounds like my Friday, every Friday! Nothing wrong with it!
Christine, right?! 🙂 It’s funny how your desires in life change, isn’t it? One season of life we really enjoyed being out and having fun with friends and now we’re perfectly happy staying at home! xo, M
