Blog-tember Challenge: Day 19
If someone asked you about the best day of your life….what would you say?
Well, that’s today’s Blog-tember Challenge – to tell y’all about one of the best days of my life.
I fell like it would have to be recent – like, within the last five years…
It was a beautiful day. And I have to say that it was pretty great. All of our family and friends were there. There was food, there was wine, there was church, there was laughter, there was dancing…and silliness. It was fantastic.
Then there was any day we spent in New York City in the Summer of 2012.
Literally any day…that was such a great trip for us. It was relaxing but yet we did and saw so much in the week that we were there. I will say…I was completely blown away when I saw Lady Liberty for the first time. She is totally and completely breath-taking. I was overjoyed to be standing before her, reading and listening about her journey and history.
Then there were amazing days like my first Mother’s Day – to know the joy and love that it is to be a mom.
The day Eliza Jane entered the world and made our family a family of four.
The day we went to Charleston, SC for the weekend and enjoyed beautiful weather, walking, seeing, eating and doing.
Or the random weekend we were in Macon {my home town} and went to a local pizza place for lunch with my family…and then found the concrete slide…we spent a long time laughing and sliding {my dad even went down the slide!}. Then paused for a family photo.
Most recently it was probably Eliza Jane’s birthday party. Another event where we had lots of sweet and wonderful friends and family here.
I think any day where I get to spend a lot of time with my family doing fun things, I’m good. And it’s a pretty great day in my book.
How about you? What makes a perfect day for you?
Oh I should mention I live in NY- ok Long Island and I have yet to go to the Statue of Liberty…..I have seen it from a distance though….yes, I live like 1-2 hours away and a fairly easy ride and ferry ride to it and have yet to check it out! Go figure, most NY’ers rarely if at all check it out….we take it for granted that it will always be there!
Wow, you had some really great favorites in there…..I felt as if I was brought along on that concrete slide with your family in Macon, Georgia……I enjoyed hearing about your favorite day(s) so very much, hope you like my days as well…….
Hi Pamela! Thank you for stopping by to check out my favorite days! I’m going to check yours out in just a bit!
It’s also funny to me, regarding your 2nd comment, how we take for granted the things right in our own back yards! There are so many things we’ve not done in SC, that visitors/travelers check out!
We will be back in NYC in December, and I can’t wait! 🙂
