Five Foyer Light Fixture Styles You Should Consider
In remodeling homes you can imagine all the different light fixtures we look at for one project. Also, I rarely choose the same fixture twice, especially since there are SO MANY, even for a foyer!
If you’re looking for a new foyer light fixture, in no certain order, below are five styles that I really fell in love with over the last year. To help you consider a new fixture, I found this great post for choosing the right size for your space…because nothing is worse than choosing a fixture that overpowers its room.
1. The Classic Lantern
It’s been around for years and taken on different looks, but the current lanterns are some of my absolute favorites. Most have a simple, streamlined look and with the variety of finishes to choose from, there’s bound to be one to fit any room or style.
2. The Globe
Depending on the materials used – metal, wood, crystal – the globe chandelier can blend in with the most glamorous of homes or the ranch on 100 acres.
The Sputnik
This one has slowly grown on me the last few months. Certainly more modern than the previous two, the Sputnik offers whimsy to any foyer space.
The Drum
There are so many varieties of the Drum chandelier, and often I lean towards the one without an opaque shade. This example is one of my favorites, allowing you to see the chandelier inside the drum.
The Empire
The Empire made a huge come back a few years ago with it’s beaded detailing upgrade. You may remember it from it’s more classical days with crystals dancing in the candlelight. This style is a lot like a chameleon, it can be whatever you want or need it to be for your room.
Any Style, Any Budget
No matter what style you love most, there is an option for your budget. I purchase most of our light fixtures from Wayfair because I can always find the exact one I want for my space. Other sites I often browse include Shades of Light, Lamps Plus, Build.com and when I’m in a pinch for time I’ll go to Lowe’s Home Depot, Ferguson or The Nest.
