Mary Poppins
Confession: I could watch “Mary Poppins” every day of the week. Every.Day.
I enjoy it that much.
The dancing, the singing, the laughter…the joy…it’s so good!
When I was little, my ballet company did “Mary Poppins” and I was one of Jane’s friends in the park…I wish I had pictures to share with you. My costume was a white dress with a large orange sash that tied into a really big bow and I had a matching hat…with an equally large bow on it… It pretty much was exactly like Jane’s lovely ensemble in this picture here:
{I am now planning a trip in my mind to go home and pack up all my childhood pictures…Mom, get ready, I’m coming home and I’ll be on a mission!}
Anyway, I am BEYOND excited that tonight I get to go see the play at our local theatre!!
My sweet friend Dana is treating her mom {her birthday was Tuesday!} and invited me to tag along – thanks Dana and Ms. Bobbie!
I have REALLY high expectations and really hope it’s as good live as I think it should be!
Has anyone seen it yet in Columbia, or anywhere else? I’ve seen it showing in several different states this year… I would love to hear some reviews!
and P.S…for any of my Columbia friends: here’s the Town Theatre show listing for the rest of this year…I’ll be purchasing tickets to some of these other shows if anyone wants to join in!
Other than the delay, my girls and I thought it was great! Especially “Bert”…lived seeming yiu but sorry we didn’t really get to talk. 🙂
ha…the delay made me so tired! I’m so glad I got to see you, Betsy and that you got to take your sweet girls to see the play.
Bert was amazing – he did such a great job!!! I thought the kids were pretty phenomenal too! I LOVED the rooftop dancing!
So fun!! I am thinking I might have to go see A Christmas Story 🙂
YES!! Morgan, that’s a definite!
I also want to see “Singin’ in the Rain” – wanna go?! 🙂
Yes, definitely! Love the movie 🙂
