While Mommy Is Away…

Daddy will play…

I was away for the night Tuesday night and while I was gone, my dishwasher disappeared.

Not like someone came into our home and stole it (who does that anyway?!), but Daddy removed it…and didn’t replace it.  Well, not yet, at least.

I think it was three weeks ago that we purchased a new dishwasher online from Lowe’s and have been waiting for it to arrive at the store so we could pick it up.  Andrew told me Monday morning when I picked him up from the airport that it had come in and he was planning to go get it. That didn’t happen for various reasons, mainly because we wanted to be together since he’d just gotten home and I was about to leave the next morning.

So Tuesday night when I called to check in, he says he’s working on a project, to which I replied, “putting in the new dishwasher?”

I was right in one sense…he was at the rental house installing our old  dishwasher (it was only 1 yr old) for the boys who were moving in the next day.

So then I get home yesterday evening and there’s a hole.

And there’s still a hole. 🙂

I realize that getting the machine into the house is a 2 man job and I’m not really in the condition to be helping carry a dishwasher, so Andrew’s relying on the help of our sweet friend, DJ, to come over and assist.

Which means I am too.

And maybe me…since I don’t have a dishwasher yet…?

{They are actually working on it now, but this “15 minute” job has already taken 30…something about a peck (pec?) being too small or too large, I’m not sure.  All I know is that they’ve left to go get something for this peck (pec?)….Maybe I’ll wake up to a shiny new surprise!}
